Day 1: Welcome to Istanbul
Upon your arrival at either Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Istanbul. Take the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the city, or embark on a self-guided exploration of this vibrant metropolis. In the evening, your tour consultant will provide a brief overview of your upcoming 10-day adventure in Turkey. Enjoy your first night in Istanbul, soaking in the city’s unique ambiance.
Day 2: Discover the Highlights of Istanbul (Breakfast)
After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, our expert guide will meet you in the lobby to begin a full-day exploration of Istanbul’s most iconic sites. Your journey will include:
- Hagia Sophia: Marvel at this architectural masterpiece, once a church, later a mosque, and now a museum.
- Blue Mosque: Admire the stunning blue tiles and six majestic minarets of this historic mosque.
- Topkapi Palace: Explore the opulent residence of the Ottoman sultans for nearly four centuries.
- Hippodrome: Visit the ancient chariot racing arena, featuring the Serpentine Column, the Obelisk of Theodosius, and the German Fountain.
- Grand Bazaar: Wander through one of the world’s largest and oldest covered markets.
After the tour, you’ll return to your hotel with the remainder of the day free to explore or relax. You may also choose to take a serene cruise on the Bosphorus. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3: Ephesus Excursion (Lunch)
Begin your day with an early transfer to the airport for a short flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, you’ll be driven to Selcuk to embark on a full-day tour of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities. Highlights include:
- House of the Virgin Mary: Visit the believed final residence of Mary, mother of Jesus.
- Ancient City of Ephesus: Discover the Library of Celsus, the Grand Theater, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Terrace Houses.
- Temple of Artemis: Explore the ruins of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Post-tour, you’ll be transported to your hotel in Kusadasi. Spend the evening at your leisure, perhaps relaxing on the beach or shopping. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 4: Pamukkale Adventure (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a full-day tour of Pamukkale, famed for its stunning white terraces formed by mineral-rich waters, also known as the “Cotton Castle.” The tour includes:
- Hierapolis Ancient City: Visit the impressive theater, Roman baths, and the extensive necropolis.
- Pamukkale Terraces: Walk along the remarkable white calcium pools and bathe in the natural hot springs.
- Cleopatra’s Pool: Enjoy a dip in this historical hot spring pool, believed to have been a gift from Mark Antony to Cleopatra.
Following the tour, you’ll have free time to relax. Overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 5: Scenic Bus Journey to Antalya (Breakfast)
After breakfast and checkout, you’ll be transferred to the Denizli bus terminal to catch a public bus to Antalya. This journey offers a unique experience as you travel through the Turkish countryside. Upon arrival in Antalya, you’ll be taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this beautiful coastal city, known for its beaches, historical sites, and charming old town. Overnight in Antalya.
Day 6: Leisure Day in Antalya (Breakfast)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a full day to explore Antalya at your own pace. You might want to visit the historic old town (Kaleiçi), relax on the stunning beaches, or discover nearby attractions such as the Duden Waterfalls. Overnight in Antalya.
Day 7: Transfer to Cappadocia via Konya (Breakfast)
After breakfast and checkout, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Cappadocia, with a fascinating stop in Konya. Here, you can enjoy lunch and visit the Mevlana Museum, the final resting place of the famous Sufi mystic, Rumi. After exploring Konya, continue your journey to Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 8: Northern Cappadocia Tour (Breakfast, Lunch)
Start your day with an optional hot air balloon ride for an unforgettable experience. After breakfast, join a full-day tour of Northern Cappadocia, including:
- Goreme Panorama: Enjoy breathtaking views of the Goreme Valley and its fairy chimneys.
- Goreme Open-Air Museum: Explore rock-cut churches and monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley): See the distinctive rock formations.
